afm Countertops, formerly afm Surfaces, has had a small showroom attached to its fabrication shop since 1990. This family owned business strictly fabricated Corian. To keep up with growing demand, we have expanded our product lines to include not only countertops, but also a complete line of plumbing fixtures. We fabricate granite, solid surface products, quartz products, and concrete. In 2005, we added three full plumbing lines. The plumbing lines we offer are from the Kohler family and include Kallista, Kohler, and Sterling. We have all of today’s top selling premium countertop brands. These include Corian, Zodiaq, Vivendi, Silestone, Hanstone, EOS, Technistone, and also the ever so popular granite. We also stock our own granite in our warehouse in Rochester. Our customers are now able to select granite slabs without driving out of town. We import products internationally to keep in our personal warehouse for our valued customers’ convenience. We also have a fabrication plant with all the necessary technology to maintain the highest quality fabrication in the Greater Rochester area.

My elementary teaching background has helped me in this new career path, because it enables me to understand the dedication needed in educating customers about their future purchases. After many years in the lighting business I have found that my true passion is in countertops, especially Corian! The numerous possibilities of surfaces that we offer have given me the opportunity to enrich many of my customers with these design options. On a personal note; In my spare time I love to travel and have been fortunate to have traveled to several places. My favorite has to be visiting my sister in Rhode Island where I can relax and be near the ocean. Another passion of mine is to spend time with my two grown children and my Morkie puppies, Koko and Buddy! |

Having started with afm in 1998 I have been working with new construction and remodeling clients in the tri-state area for several years. My professional and personal opinion in countertop design is always available free of charge. My education is in General Business, with an emphasis in Marketing and Sales from the University of Wisconsin-Stout. As I completed my education and worked with various businesses, I became very enthusiastic about marketing small businesses and organizational cultures. I am passionate about sharing this enthusiasm with afm and our customers. On a personal note, I have recently purchased my own home, so I am very familiar with the process that my customers have gone through with product selection. I have also enjoyed furnishing it with the many wonderful items from At Home America where I am also a sales consultant. This career path has enabled me to return to my hometown where I can live and work near my family. |

I have been in the kitchen remodeling business for 12 years and I am a life-long resident of St. Charles, Minnesota. I have been married to my wife, Dawn, for 25 years. We have three children, twin boys and a daughter. My hobbies include golfing, hunting, fishing and juggling. I also enjoy reading and completing crossword puzzles. |
